This is life of a super secret celebrity wedding planner

Celebrities from Drew Barrymore to Natalie Portman have tried to recite their vows without having to Marshawn Lynch TMZ cameramen on their way down the aisle. Stefanie Cove is their lead blocker, of sorts. Cove is a wedding planner who specializes in organizing super-secret nuptials for the rich and famous. New York Magazinehas published a piece which lifts the veil on Cove's behind-the-scenes life securing air space above weddings and ordering local floral arrangements in secret.
So engaged couples are administered secret code names: Sims’s wedding was dubbed “Operation Black Swan.” Clients and planners don’t meet in public. When they visit vendors, they avoid inking the bride’s name to any paperwork, and leave a flurry of confidentiality agreements in their wake. On the day of, staff arrives without being briefed on the guests of honor. “Listen, things get out,” Sims says. “But it’s not because of them.”
The whole profile reads like an outline for Zero Dark Thirty 2: My Big Fat Celebrity Wedding. If nothing else, it offers a look at the cloak and dagger lifestyle that those on the fringe of celebrity circles have to go

Daughter wears mom's 1988 dress to prom

At Saturday night’s Marysville High School prom, Kallie Breshears, 16, wore the same prom dress, that her mother, Regina Satterfield Breshears, wore to her prom 25 years ago at Labette County High School in Altamont.
The strapless red gown featured a beaded bodice and a skirt of layered taffeta ruffles.
Each layer of ruffles was held together with fishing line.
“It shows that the clothing styles come full circle,” said Regina, whose parents bought the dress for her at a bridal store in Joplin, Mo. “It was pretty pricey at the time, but Dad said if I find something I really like, I can get it. Mom told me later that she was the one who convinced Dad to buy it.”
Regina’s parents are Rob and Becky Satterfield, Marysville.
They bought the dress for $398, Regina said, adding that clothing prices have dropped over the years.
“The dress was way ahead of its time,” she said. “There were no dresses in that design or style like it at my prom.”
Breshears said the dress was in good shape when she took it out of the closet last August to show her twin daughters, Kallie and Kassie, 16.
Right away Kallie said she wanted to wear it to the prom. About Christmas, she got the size 2 dress out again for Kallie to try on, and it fit perfectly. It needed a few touch-ups and to be fluffed out, so they took it to a seamstress in Leonardville.
The dress is a style Kallie likes, Regina said.
“It was a frilly girly-girl dress, and that’s her style. Kassie is not into such a girly-girl dress, so it wasn’t an issue over who would wear it. Each of the twins has their own style and their own clothing preferences.”
Kassie, who always said she wanted a bright blue prom dress, selected a navy blue strapless gown. Kallie and Regina helped her pick it out.
“It was an emotional night for me, seeing Kallie in my prom dress and seeing my ‘tom boy’ Kassie in a formal dress,” Regina said. “They had their hair fixed alike, and for the first time in a while, they looked like twins.”
Regina dressed the girls alike until kindergarten, when each developed her own preferences in clothes.
Regina’s accessories at her prom were long red gloves, which were in style at the time, with a wrist corsage over the glove.
Kallie didn’t wear gloves, but had a similar wrist corsage, given to her by her date, Triston Hormann. The only difference was that Kallie’s corsage lit up and was on a zebra-design bracelet with cascading beading.
“I had a blast in the dress,” she said. “Even though it had a lot of ruffles, beading and lots of underskirts, it was lightweight and fun and easy to dance in. I danced all night. My favorite part of the dress was to hold it out when I danced.”
Kallie said red is her favorite color in clothing.
Regina said it was fun to see the reactions from her daughter’s friends after they learned Kallie was wearing her mother’s prom dress.
“They asked me when I graduated, and they were amazed that the style was way ahead of its time,” she said. “Everyone said it didn’t look like anything from the ’80s.”
When Kallie told her friends it was her mom’s prom dress, most reacted with “I can’t believe it.”
“I had fun with the dress,” Kallie said. “My friends thought it was really cool that it was the same material of their ‘new’ dresses, and that it was my mom’s dress and it was the style of today.”
Kallie said she probably won’t wear it again next year. She plans to go shopping for a new dress for her senior prom.
Regina put the dress back into the closet for storage. She has another set of twin girls, Karly and Krista, 12, seventh-graders at MJHS. Perhaps one of them will want to wear the dress when they go to prom in a few years.
And if they don’t, maybe little sister, Kaytee, 3, will wear it when it’s time for her prom.
2013 MHS Prom
“Mystery and Magic” was the theme of the Marysville High School Prom Saturday night at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Art. Colors of the masquerade-type theme included purple, teal, gold and black.
Juniors and seniors and their guests moved on to the “Under the Sea in 2013” after-prom party in the junior-senior high cafeteria.
A total 110 of the 121 MHS students attended after-prom, which is a 91 percent turnout, according to Davanie Nietfeld, after-prom chairman.
The underwater theme featured black light and SpongeBob characters. The black light miniature golf course from the Dawg House was set up in the junior high hallway.
There were four large blow-up games, including a climbing mountain, an obstacle course, lava pit and a large human foosball game. Other games included a flipper race, poker and blackjack.
A photo booth was inside SpongeBob’s pineapple house. All the photos from that night will be uploaded to a shared photo room, which the students and parents will have access to, Nietfeld said.

A Red Carpet Ball Hold at Flagler’s Kenan Pavilion

Junior Assembly holds Red Carpet Ball at Flagler’s Kenan Pavilion photo
Forget about the westbound car carriers and JetBlue’s sold-out LaGuardia flights. The surest harbinger of end-of-season is the Red Carpet Ball of the Junior Assembly of Palm Beach.

Children from kindergarten through fifth grade donned the mandatory fancy dress — party dresses and white gloves for the girls; navy blue blazers and ties for the boys — and demonstrated the dance and etiquette skills drilled into their heads and feet by dance teachers Sara and Adam Boyd, and etiquette instructor Wendy Fernsell.
Possessed of infinite patience, those three are.

Monnie Gilder is 2012-2013 chairwoman for the Junior Assembly of Palm Beach, with Jean Koeppel serving as co-chairwoman.

Ralph Lauren Settles Bribery Charges

RALPH LAUREN will pay $1.6 million (£1 million), to US authorities to settle allegations that it bribed Argentinian government officials to avoid mandatory customs and inspection procedures between 2005 and 2009.
A general manager at the label's Argentinian subsidiary paid $568,000 (£373,242), to custom officials to evade the necessary paperwork and inspection and to clear unknown prohibited goods. The employee - who revealed the misconduct during an internal company review - also gave presents to officials, including perfume, dresses and handbags. Fake invoices were used to conceal the illegal activities.
The US label reported the offence within two weeks of its discovery and has repaid the bribery costs, as well as interest to the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
"When these issues surfaced at our subsidiary in Argentina, we took immediate action to hire outside counsel and forensic specialists to conduct an internal investigation and reported the matter directly to both the US Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission," a spokesman for Ralph Lauren told WWD. "We fully cooperated in the ensuing investigations and conducted a worldwide risk assessment. There was no evidence that the improper activity in Argentina was known or authorised by anyone outside of Argentina or that similar practices were occurring at other foreign operations."

Riley Hospital for Children cancer patients shop for upcoming prom

INDIANAPOLIS - An upscale department store built inside Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health is providing smiles for children fighting cancer and their siblings.
The children are shopping for the bling they need for the 4th annual Riley Cancer Center Prom.
It's expected that 150 patients and their families will attend the prom, which has an "Under the Sea" theme this year.
Volunteers with Women for Riley have donated their time and money to pull off the event, and local groups have donated everything children will need to dazzle.
"We see parents in tears. We see so much excitement. We see girls twirl in front of the three-way mirror. We've had them say, 'I feel so beautiful,'" said Betsy Lasky, of Women for Riley. "If you've ever hand anybody in the hospital, you know what even just one great day can mean. So this is what we're trying to do."
From street clothes, to dress, to fabulous dress, the transformation brings smiles, something that Courtney Ray and her daughter, Olivia, 3, could use. Olivia receives chemotherapy every three weeks.
"You can just see it in her eyes. She's having a lot of fun, blossoming," Ray said.
Olivia decided on a sparkly number, paired with classic pearls and a "statement" ring, creating a reflection that is perfect at any angle.
"It's nice to not think about other stuff and have a day to ourselves," Ray said.
Alena Damer, 11, loves to shop, especially for this occasion, but she's thinking of others.
"They kind of are going through a lot, like I am, chemo, all that stuff. So, it's kind of important, because then they get something to look forward to in their life," Damer said.
Shopping will continue on Friday, and the prom is May 3. On the day of the prom, girls and their mothers will get to go to a day spa to get their hair and nails done.

Color Inspiration for Dress in Spring 2013

Earlier in this year, Pantone Color Institute has announced 10 hot colors as Spring Color 2013. With all those bright hues, it’s no doubt that we’ll embrace a colorful 2013 spring. Emerald, dusk blue, tender shoots, lemon zest, linen, poppy red, grayed jade, African violet, Monaco blue and nectarine. Maybe not all of them are your colors, but there must be one or a few which you favored of.

Based on the Pantone color list, I tracked online for inspiration. Obviously, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang and Michael Kors have launched new collections for this bright spring. I can’t help myself fall in love with this 2013 spring, as the colors are really eye catching and make me feel that I am totally fresh. I collect some of the awesome pictures for you to get inspired. Colors for 2013 should start like this.

1. Let’s be pretty in pink

Even the girliest styler should prepare for Spring's electric shock of pinks — with Oscar de la Renta's vibrant candy pink version leading the way. We love how rich these pinks are, which certainly accounts for its more refined feel instead of a youthful one. From left to right: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Oscar de la Renta, and Marchesa.

2. Let’s flatter in red

It's going to be a siren affair come Spring 2013, and we've got the fiery red pieces to prove it. Proenza Schouler showed off a shiny engine red version, while Ralph Lauren channeled a sophisticated Spain-inspired cherry red. However you spin it, these reds are sexier than ever. From left to right: Proenza Schouler, Ralph Lauren, and Prabal Gurung.

3. Let’s glamour in purple

Along with a resurgence of pretty pastels and pinks, ladylike purple has also returned to Spring's main stage. In bright royal purple, satin-finished violet, and a poppy color that makes you wish you had a party to wear it to, this time around, purple isn't just for the ultrafeminine set. From left to right: Elizabeth and James, Vera Wang, and J. Mendel.

4. Let’s shine in yellow

The xanthophobic need not tread any further — the sheer brightness of Spring 2013's take on yellow is off the charts. Think lemon drops, sunshine, and sweet baby chicks . . . that's the kind of yellow we're referring to. Don't be deterred by its bold outlook, though. What we love most about this latest rendition of yellow is its ability to be more than just a loud hue, as showcased by Oscar de la Renta's lacy sheaths and Alice + Olivia's slick pantsuits. From left to right: Oscar de la Renta, Alice + Olivia, and Michael Kors.
